The Mazovian Information Society Network "M@zowszanie" (MSSI "M@zowszanie") serves the inhabitants of Mazovia as stationary and interactive places of access to e-services, education, culture and economic information. Created centres are meant to support local initiatives for e-integration and counteract digital exclusion.
As a result of the project, the inhabitants of Mazovia were allowed to use free broadband Internet access, which is particularly important in areas of higher digital exclusion risk. This access was provided along with substantive support, facilitating groups exposed to information exclusion to overcome the barriers. Participants are more actively participating in social life, developing their skills and interests. Currently, the project held 174 vivid Local Competence Centres.
